But before we dive into the excitement, let me share my story on how Elle Lovelace Photography came to life.
My story began with a vibrant hot pink Barbie Polaroid camera. As a birthday gift, it ignited a passion within me for capturing the perfect picture. Each year, a new camera seemed to be at the top of my wish list. Eventually, I ventured into the world of film photography. Do you remember those disposable cameras? The anticipation of filling them up and eagerly awaiting the developed prints from the store became some of my most cherished memories. Growing up, I was known as the person who documented every single moment. If only you could see the extensive collection of photos on my memory drive.
Over the past few years, while working as a special education teacher, I dabbled in photography on the side. Then, this summer, a precious baby named Mac entered our lives, and I made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom in order to spend quality time with my little one. It was during this time that I felt a calling from God to embark on a part-time entrepreneurial journey of my own.
In my first year of going full-time, I captured photographs of various subjects and occasions. However, as January approached, I found myself reflecting on the past year and realized my true passion lies in photographing children. It shouldn’t have surprised me; after all, I adore children and have a natural inclination to make them feel cherished and loved. So, as I embarked on my second year as a full-time photographer, I shifted my focus and specialized in children’s photography.
